Restarting Goals

Hello all!

July 1st is the start of a new year with my company. I haven’t been able to devote much time and energy to this work lately, but day 1 seems like a perfect day to start fresh.

I gotta be honest though, I am burnt out. I have been pushing through and pushing through and pushing through more for the last five to six years. Just waiting to survive the trauma d’jour because life would be easier when….

Well, I did it. I survived. I pulled myself and my family through relatively unscathed. We are here. Life is easier NOW. And I’m exhausted and really unsure how to make myself move without impending chaos. I thought I would instantly bounce back, but I’ve been so stretched and stressed for so long that my elastic has snapped. There will be no bouncing. Only way to get back is to do it one step at a time and work myself back to my best. I’ve been there before, I’ll be there again. It’s just taking me a little longer than I expected.

So I’m going to stop just flip flopping around and start with some goal setting. Top of the list is to take better care of myself by giving myself 5 minutes every morning and every evening to wash my face in peace, because I know that when my skin is happy it helps my head and my heart to be happy too. The next goal is to kick my teens off the computer each morning so I can get back to sharing with all you lovely folks with more regularly.

Are you restarting as the pandemic ends? What are some of your goals for the second half of the year? Please share them below!
