I love an outdoor adventure. There is little as restorative to me as a long hike in the woods or a little time canoeing (even though my body physically protests these activities). But I have started thinking more about other adventures lately. My youngest son has proven to be probably my greatest adventure lately, in fact I had to get up mid-sentence to go wrangle him out of trouble just now.
I have been looking at things that challenge me as adventures. Things that frighten me are adventures. Having had the privilege of growing up with regular outdoor adventures, somehow looking at my family, my health, and my career as adventures makes the mountains seem a little smaller and reminds me to enjoy the journey with all it’s bumps and detours along the way.
What adventures have you gone on lately?
